Why RISE? I am so excited and honoured to be a part of RISE because I not only get to learn about community engagement at a local level but I also get to learn from the other ambassadors and the people around me. I think that there is so much resilience to be found in youth and in community, and I want to be a part of an initiative which creates a positive and sustainable impact in amplifying the resilience within communities. I also want to challenge my own biases and preconceived notions about what "resilient cities" means and to actively engage with the topic from different perspectives.
