Why RISE? Being a part of RISE not only means helping to create change, but also it allows you to hear multiple points of view and understand differences in opinion. This is important when dealing with your community because your view wont be as narrowminded. Furthermore, with the topic of resilient cities specifically, I want to be involved in my own community to create sustainability, even if at a smaller scale.

Why RISE? I study Politics full time— as a result I’ve come face-to-face with the trend of apathy for politics among youth. I joined RISE to learn how to engage my peers and show them that politics is not only interesting, but a part of our everyday life, and something that we, as young people, have a say in!

Why RISE? I am super passionate about social issues and addressing inequalities. I have so much faith in humanity and I want to be part of changing the world and making it a better place. I love that RISE gives young people in Canada the resources the go out into the world and try to rectify the issues we recognize in our society.
